The goal of this ministry is to help people understand God’s view and His design of the family.  God uses the family as the primary way to pass on His truth to future generations.  Therefore, it is very important for the family unit to be built upon the principles of God’s Word.  When parents are following God and passing godly principles on to their children, family by family the world begins to change.

The importance of communicating God’s word to the family is evident throughout many ministries at Rocky Mountain Calvary.  Each weekend parents and children are taught the same passages of scripture so discussions can take place on what each person has learned.  Listed below are a few other opportunities to discover what God’s Word has for the family.

Marriage Classes

In the Spring and Fall classes are offered for 6-8 weeks.  Consult the event calendar to see when a class is being offered or contact the Marriage Pastor.

Marriage Mentoring

Marriage mentoring is the linking of a younger married couple with an older, more seasoned couple who will come alongside to build a relationship.  Click here for information on our Marriage Mentoring Ministry.

For $100 off of FamilyLife’s Weekend to Remember (https://www.familylife.com/weekend-to-remember) conference rates per couple, use the Group name: RMCMarriage. (This code is good for any Weekend to Remember conference throughout the country.) For every five couples that sign up, we are able to gift one couple a complementary registration.

Marriage Counseling

Free marriage counseling is provided by all staff pastors and volunteer lay leaders.  If you desire to make an appointment contact the Pastoral Care Assistant Gissel Calleros or call the church office at 719.597.1133 ext. 4713

Weddings & Premarital Counseling

Free premarital instruction is offered for couples wishing to be married.  This counseling is required for couples who will be married through Rocky Mountain Calvary.  After completing this course couples should understand the biblical model for marriage, how to communicate, share expectations, manage finances, and understand the importance God places on the marriage relationship.  Ideally, premarital counseling is scheduled at least 6 months prior to the wedding. Click here for more information regarding premarital counseling or contact the Life Events Coordinator, Brenda Amburgey.
