Throughout the year we have many outreaches serving our local community and the broader community of Colorado.  Listed below are a few of these outreaches:

Mercy’s Gate

Rocky Mountain Calvary has partnered with Mercy’s Gate for the past two decades.  Mercy’s Gate is the largest evangelical crisis relief agency in the Colorado Springs area.  They minister to 15 zip codes and assist approximately 400 families every month.  Crisis assistance is provided through rent assistance, travel vouchers, food, clothing, and utility assistance, to name a few. For more information on Mercy’s Gate and the services they provide, visit their web site.

Prison Ministry

“…I was in prison and you came to Me… Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.” Matthew 25:36-40

Rocky Mountain Calvary’s desire is to see prisoners become disciples. In Matthew 25, Christ emphasizes the importance of visiting those in prison, paralleling it to our service and love for Him. God has opened many doors for us to teach the Word and disciple inmates, as well as reach out to their families. These are just a few of the things we see God doing through prison ministry.

SALT Ministry

SALT stands for Serving and Loving Teachers. We started serving at Sabin Middle School in 2010. The heart behind this ministry is to show the love of Christ by simply serving and loving the Sabin teachers and staff who teach our neighborhood kids. We do this by providing meals throughout the year, praying for them, sending birthday cards to staff, etc.

U-Turn for Christ

U-Turn for Christ is a Christ centered discipleship program dealing with men and women who are seeking restoration from drug and alcohol addiction, through Jesus Christ. They are based entirely on the Word of God and get all counsel from it. They are always looking for teachers and mentors to help with discipleship.

The Nations Next Door

Leviticus 19:34a “The stranger who lives among you shall be to you as one born among you, and you shall love him as yourself”

Did you know that we have refugee families living in our neighborhoods? These families arrive with just the clothes on their backs, but have hearts prepared to know the love of Christ. You can be a part of sharing Christ’s love with these families by befriending them and helping them learn basic skills to survive in the US like: English, driving, buying groceries, paying bills, sending and receiving mail, etc. No longer do you have to leave the country to reach the nations because God has placed them next door.
