Rise, the high school ministry of Rocky Mountain Calvary, purposes to prepare a new generation to make disciples of the nations through determining to know nothing except Jesus Christ and Him crucified (Matthew 28:19 & 1 Corinthians 2:2)
Rise students are encouraged to plug in and grow as disciples by becoming committed followers of Jesus Christ and taking ownership over their walk with the Lord. We desire all students to know the entire counsel of God, and place a strong emphasis on corporate; as well as, personal time in God’s Word. We acknowledge parents are the primary discipler of their children, so weekend services are designed to follow the chapter by chapter, verse by verse teaching of the main sanctuary in order to provide parents weekly opportunities to dialogue over the scriptures with their children.
Wednesday evening services follow a chapter-by-chapter, verse-by-verse structure as well; however, the book of the Bible studied during Wednesday evening services is unique to the high school. Additionally, on Wednesdays, students engage in small groups in an effort to grow community and fellowship among the youth, establish systems of accountability and encouragement and cultivate disciples rather than create passive spectators.
Our vision drives our programming and is focused and motivated through knowing Jesus Christ and making Him known. Events are designed to build meaningful relationships within the body of Christ, challenge students to take ownership of their faith, or provide opportunities to serve within local and international communities.
