“So teach us to number our days
that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” Psalm 90:12

Vision

The heart of women’s ministry (Women of Calvary) is to provide a place where women will be

  • strengthened by God’s Word
  • nurtured through each season of life
  • find fellowship in the Lord Jesus Christ

As we gather, we hope that women of all ages will discover and use their gifts and talents in dynamic ways, to the glory of God.

We invite you to join us at our various Bible Studies and Events!

Weekly Bible Studies

Spring Bible Study – Tuesdays from January 12 – April 6, 2020

Knowing God through His Word is essential for us as women! His Word is rich with wisdom and guidance for every season and every situation. Weekly Bible Studies, along with Biblical training courses, are available each semester.  Both provide the opportunity to study His Word alongside other women who are doing the same, as well having the opportunity to grow in Biblically guiding other women in their walk with Christ.

We have two semesters of study throughout the year; fall and spring.  The general registration for Spring 2021 has closed.  Please email the Women’s Ministry office at womensministry@rmcalvary.org if you have an inquiry about remaining spots that may be available.  We are looking forward to you joining us this upcoming semester as we grow closer to the Lord as women in His word.

Late Registration can be done Tuesday morning/evening, January 12 before worship begins at 9:15am/6:30pm.  (Availability in class and in childcare is limited.)

This spring we will be offering the following classes:

Bible Studies

“Better, A Study of Hebrews” buy Jen Wilkin (AM & PM: $18) In this verse-by-verse study of the Book of Hebrews, Jen Wilkin explores how God “provided something better for us” in the person of Jesus Christ (Heb. 11:40). Through stories of Old Testament heroes and practices, the author of Hebrews demonstrates how the new covenant is superior to the old and how Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of every promise. Explore familiar verses in context of the entire Bible, learning how to place your hope and faith in Christ alone.

“Precepts”: 1 Peter (AM & PM:  $25) Are you prepared for suffering? Where was God for the early Christians? How could Christians survive the flames that tried their faith? Will trials and persecutions reveal your faith and bring glory to God? First Peter had the answer then…and has it for today.  This book is a living hope to all nations, tongues, and ages. During this class we will search out the answers to these questions and allow the message of First Peter to continue to be a heritage to the generations.

Biblical Training Courses

RMCs Women’s Ministry is partnered with our Guidance Ministry in offering Biblical training courses for women.  These in depth training classes are open to all, yet are geared towards developing and training women in personal growth, learning how to approach life’s trials from a Biblical perspective, as well as meeting the requirements necessary to serve as a mentor and/or counselor at RMC.  See each class description for further details.

“Instruments in the Redeemer’s Hand” by Paul David Tripp: (AM & PM $20) Often, we see church merely as an event we attend or an organization we belong to, rather than as a calling that shapes our entire life. All of God’s children are called into ministry, and each of them needs the daily intervention this ministry provides. God uses people, who need change themselves, as instruments of change in others. This need will remain until our sanctification is complete in Glory.

Women’s 2021 Events

Our events are designed to strengthen our hearts, encourage our daily living, and make us glad as we gather together.  Even in our current culture of restrictions, mask wearing, and overall separation, we can still find different and unique ways to remain connected.  The need for fellowship is great and we pray that you will join with us whether it be online, or in person as we are able.

Spring Event – Held in April each year following our spring semester of Bible studies

This year’s event is Friday, April 16 and Saturday, April 17.  Details at rmcalvary.org , or via the RMC app.

Fall Retreat/Women’s Conference:  Friday, September 10- Sunday, September 12

We are looking forward to reconnecting this year at Trail West in Buena Vista.  Please check back in June as we see how the Lord directs us, His women for this annual fall event!

A Christmas Gathering: Friday, December 3, 2021

Each year, we step into the holiday season and have an amazing evening to prepare our hearts in celebrating the birth of our Savior.  This is a precious time for us, the Women of Calvary, to gather for fellowship, delightful holiday goodies, and time with other women.  Your heart will be filled as we come together to worship our King and prepare our hearts and lives for the Christmas season.

Information to come in November 2021.
